COSRX BHA Blackhead vs Poreless Power Liquid

Should I choose COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid or Two in One Poreless Power Liquid?

Short answer

Choose BHA Blackhead Power Liquid if blackheads and oily, clogged pores are your main concern; it pairs betaine salicylate with niacinamide in a short, ten-ingredient formula. Choose Two in One Poreless Power Liquid if you want a lighter, toner-style BHA step with panthenol, allantoin and hyaluronic acid, and you don't mind a cooling mint ingredient. Both use willow bark water and betaine salicylate.

What this means for you

Start with what you notice

Both are leave-on COSRX liquids for pores. Pick the Blackhead liquid if you're targeting stubborn blackheads, or the Poreless liquid if you want a gentler-feeling toner step.

The ingredient names, translated

Betaine salicylate is a relative of salicylic acid, an oil-soluble exfoliant that can work inside pores. Willow bark water is a plant source of salicylates. The Blackhead liquid adds niacinamide; the Poreless liquid adds panthenol, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate and menthyl lactate, a cooling mint-derived ingredient. Neither states its acid percentage.

How to decide

  • Stubborn blackheads and oily pores? BHA Blackhead Power Liquid.
  • Want a lighter toner step with soothing extras? Two in One Poreless Power Liquid.
  • Sensitive to mint or cooling ingredients? Choose the Blackhead liquid.

What to expect

Leave-on BHAs can make pores and blackheads less noticeable over several weeks. Sebaceous filaments on the nose come back regardless. Overuse can dry or irritate. We haven't tested either product.

Blackhead treatment vs pore toner

COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is a 100 mL leave-on liquid with ten listed ingredients. Willow bark water is the base, followed by butylene glycol, betaine salicylate and niacinamide. COSRX positions it for oil control and people used to moderate-strength acids.

COSRX Two in One Poreless Power Liquid also starts with willow bark water and lists betaine salicylate. It adds hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin, betaine, allantoin, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, menthyl lactate and mint extract. COSRX says it can be wiped on with a cotton pad or left on oily areas for five to ten minutes.

Skin Realist check: two acid liquids from the same shelf don’t make a two-step routine. Pick one and let it work.

Label differences worth knowing

Both are sold as fragrance free. COSRX advises against using the Blackhead liquid at the same time as other acids, retinoids or vitamin C. See our how to clear blackheads guide and our COSRX AHA/BHA toner vs BHA liquid comparison.

Common questions

Do they state an acid percentage?

No. Neither product file records a percentage for betaine salicylate.

Which has a cooling ingredient?

Two in One Poreless Power Liquid lists menthyl lactate and Mentha haplocalyx (mint) extract. The Blackhead liquid lists neither.

Can I use both?

They're both BHA exfoliants, so using both in one routine raises the risk of dryness. Most people choose one.
